Iconic GS195 Daybed by Gianni Songia for Luigi Sormani, Italy, 1960s

Unique italian daybed or sofa from the 1960s in very good condition!

This three-seat daybed was designed by Gianni Songia for Sormani, Italy, in 1963.
Model GS-195 with leather cushions.

The backrest can be brought into 2 positions, which means that it can be used both as a daybed and as a sofa.
The backrest can slide backwards which then transforms the sofa into a comfortable bed.

This daybed is in good original condition for it's age with small traces of use on the edges, some scratches, as can been seen in the images. The leather is in good condition.
On the underside of the cushion, a button has dropped through the fabric cover. This cannot be seen in normal condition, but should be mentioned.
